Top 3 Kindergarten Teaching Ideas this Week {5-15}
Its that time again – I’m featuring my favorite kinder teaching ideas to use this week from last Thursday’s linky party. I hope you find something fantastic that you’d like to try doing or try teaching.
4. Buggy Discover Bags – Bring non-fiction bug collections into the classroom as science centers or a literacy center. Add any plastic creatures that you have to add fun to it and get kids engaged in learning buggy facts. Think of all the connections they'll be making between life cycles! {Free download}
These are just the top 3 teaching ideas that I had time to highlight, so a huge thank you for those who took the time to link up their fabulous teaching ideas!
1. Blogging With Kindergartners - Have you ever thought of giving students a space to jot down their stories or science observations? Find one teacher's tips and things she's learned by creating blogs for her kindergarten students. With all of the technology kids are learning, this is a great step to connect classmates and bring in parents.
2. Cindy Moo - This lesson plan will help you break down working on questioning as a comprehension strategy with your students and connect to it. Get students moving and bring in the common core standards of comparing two pieces on the same topic with Hey Diddle Diddle. It's all broken down for you - ready, set, teach!
Are you wondering what was the most popular {or most clicked on} idea from the party was? Well… it was Buggy Discovery Bags.
Thanks ladies. Your ideas are creative! You were all so awesome and you played first class by leaving comments for each other too {love that!} Feel free to grab my "I've been Highlighted" button since your tips and ideas were definitely worth the shout out.
You can view all of the ideas linked up HERE. If you have a blog, be sure to check in on Thursday when you can link up your favorite or most recent kindergarten teaching tip like a project you made, a lesson idea or a fun tip.
